In Social Studies this year we learned a lot of things like Panama and the Canal. One of the favorite things that I learned this year is The Reconstruction Era. In that lesson, we learned that The Reconstruction era was the period after the American Civil War from 1865 to 1877 and the purpose of the Reconstruction was to help the South become a part of the Union again. My favorite lesson that we learned was How American Indians Viewed Their Environment. That was my favorite lesson because we learned that the natives believed that each part of nature had its own spirit and each person had to maintain a balance with these spirits.
