In medicine, the term "shock" refers to a critical condition in which there is not appropriate circulation which means blood does not flood as it should. This can be caused due to multiple factors that include other conditions such as heart arrest, obstruction in the circulatory system, and serious injuries that cause excessive bleeding. According to this, the injury that will cause someone to go into shock is dismemberment as this injury would cause uncontrolled excessive bleeding as it implies legs or arms being cut off, and as a result, there would be insufficient circulation or shook.
