Answer: The statements which are false about solar system are:

The Kuiper belt is between Uranus and Neptune.

A large number of irregularly shaped comets are located in a vast ring between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter

Explanation:

Solar system is the family of Sun. The Sun is the only star. There are 8 planets, asteroids, natural satellites, comets, dwarf planets etc revolving about the Sun.

Asteroid belt is present between orbits of Mars and Jupiter.

Kuiper belt is present beyond orbit of Neptune and contains comets and dwarf planets like Pluto.

Hence, the statements which are not true about solar system are:

The Kuiper belt is between Uranus and Neptune.

A large number of irregularly shaped comets are located in a vast ring between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter

A steel bridge is 1000 m long at -20°C in winter. What is the change in length when the temperature rises to 40°C in summer? The
xenn [34]

Answer:

ΔL = 0.66 m

Explanation:

The change in length on an object due to rise in temperature is given by the following equation of linear thermal expansion:

ΔL = αLΔT

where,

ΔL = Change in Length of the bridge = ?

α = Coefficient of linear thermal expansion = 11 x 10⁻⁶ °C⁻¹

L = Original Length of the Bridge = 1000 m

ΔT = Change in Temperature = Final Temperature - Initial Temperature

ΔT = 40°C - (-20°C) = 60°C

Therefore,

ΔL = (11 x 10⁻⁶ °C⁻¹)(1000 m)(60°C)

ΔL = 0.66 m

How is kinetic energy is stored
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

Kinetic energy can be stored. For example, it takes work to lift a weight and place it on a shelf or to compress a spring. ... Kinetic energy can also be transferred from one body to another in a collision, which can be elastic or inelastic. One example of an elastic collision would be one billiard ball striking another.
