The x intercepts are where y=0 So you get 0=-cos(1/2x+pi/5) Well, where is cos(x) zero? pi/2,3pi/2,5pi/2, etc. or (2n+1)pi/2 So set 1/2x+pi/5=pi/2 You get: 1/2x=3pi/10 x=6pi/10=3pi/5 But also, 8pi/5. So just go for all "pi/2"'s in the domain. Which is pi/2, 3pi/2,5pi/2,7pi/2. There is probably a pattern but i don't remember it :/

- cos ( 1/2 x + 1/5 π ) = 0 ( and because if cos α = 0, α= π/2 + k π, k ∈ Z )
1/2 x + π/5 = π/2 + k π,    k ∈ Z
1/2 x = π/2 - π/5 + k π  / * 2
x = π - 2π/5 + 2 k π
x = 3/5 π + 2 k π = 0.6 π + 2 k π
Answer:
If k = 0:  x 1 = 0.6 π = 3π/5
k = 1 : x 2 = 2.6 π = 13π/5

A car uses 8 gallons of gasoline to travel 192 miles. How many gallons are used to go 144 miles? *
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

6 gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

You can find this using the ration method.

If, 8 gallons : 192 miles

   x gallons : 144 miles

We must find the value of x, which is the number of gallons used to travel 144 miles.

Cross multiply the ratios.

192 x = 8 × 144

192 x = 1152

x = 1152 ÷ 192

x = 6

∴ It takes 6 gallons to travel 144 miles.

Adam drew two same size rectangles and divided them into the same number of equal parts. He shaded 1/3 of one rectangle and 1/4
MArishka [77]

he divided each rectangle in 12 identical parts

for the first rectangle he shaded 1/3 of 12 = 4 parts

for the second rectangle he shaded 1/4 of 12= 3 parts

so 12= 3*4 leads to a minimum of 12 parts

Evaluate the expression solve for y = 1<br><br> -11.8 + 33.4y
gladu [14]
-11.8 + 33.4y
First turn y into 1
-11.8 + 33.4 (1)
Multiply 1 by 33.4
-11.8 + 33.4
Then add
21.6

Answer:

m\angle H = 44.4\°.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

In Right Angle Triangle GIH

∠ I = 90°

GI = 7    ....Side opposite to angle H

GH = 10  .... Hypotenuse

To Find:

m∠H = ?

Solution:

In Right Angle Triangle ABC ,Sine Identity,

sin \ H = \frac{Oppsite\  side\  to\  \angle H}{Hypotenuse}

Substituting the values we get;

sin\ H = \frac{7}{10} = 0.7

Now taking sin^{-1} we get;

\angle H = sin^{-1}\ 0.7 = 44.427

rounding to nearest tenth we get.

m\angle H = 44.4\°.

Hence m\angle H = 44.4\°.
