For the sequence an = an-1 + an-2 and ai = 2, a2 = 3,
loris [4]

Answer:

a_1 = 2

a_2 = 3

a_3 = 5

a_4 = 8

a_5 = 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

a_n = a_{n-1} + a_{n-2}

a_1 = 2

a_2 = 3

Solving (a): The first term

This has already been given as:

a_1 = 2

Solving (b): The second term

This has already been given as:

a_2 = 3

Solving (c): The third term

This is calculated as:

a_n = a_{n-1} + a_{n-2}

a_3 = a_{3-1} +a_{3-2}

a_3 = a_2 +a_1

a_3 = 3 +2

a_3 = 5

Solving (d): The fourth term

This is calculated as:

a_n = a_{n-1} + a_{n-2}

a_4 = a_{4-1} +a_{4-2}

a_4 = a_3 +a_2

a_4 = 5+3

a_4 = 8

Solving (e): The fifth term

This is calculated as:

a_n = a_{n-1} + a_{n-2}

a_5 = a_{5-1} +a_{5-2}

a_5 = a_4 +a_3

a_5 = 8+5

a_5 = 13

Find the area of the triangle please I need help really bad I don't understand this help
vivado [14]

So the formula you need for this is

A=1/2bh

So count the squares on the outside of the bottom of the triangle and the left so that would be 7 and 7 so you multiply those together to get 49 then you would divide that answer by 2 and get 24.5 so your answer is 24.5 :)

Find the equation of the line that passes through the points (–2, 4) and (1, 2).
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

The answer to your question is c)    y = (-2/3)x + 8/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

A (-2, 4)

B (1, 2)

Process

1.- Calculate the slope of the line

-Formula

  m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

  x1 = -2    y1 = 4    x2 = 1   y2 = 2

-Substitution

  m = (2 - 4) / (1 + 2)

-Simplification

  m = -2/3

2.- Find the equation of the line

Formula

    y - y1 = m(x - x1)

-Substitution

   y - 4 = -2/3 (x + 2)

-Simplify

   y - 4 = (-2/3)x - 4/3

   y = (-2/3)x - 4/3 + 4

   y = (-2/3)x - 4/3 + 12/3

-Result

   y = (-2/3)x + 8/3
