The meaning of circumference is to find the distance around a circle or in other words perimeter by using the formula C=2πr or C=<span>πd.

On this case it is asked you to find the circumference of a circle with a diameter of 3 meters, so you will use the formula C=2</span><span>πr.

C=2</span><span>πr
C=2(3.14)(3)
C=18.84 meters

The circumference of the given circle is 18.84 meters.</span>

Hi I would like to know what <br> 1 8/10 times 5 1/2
Lorico [155]

let's firstly convert the mixed fractions to improper fractions and then multiply across.

\bf \stackrel{mixed}{1\frac{8}{10}}\implies \cfrac{1\cdot 10+8}{10}\implies \stackrel{improper}{\cfrac{18}{10}\implies \cfrac{9}{5}}~\hfill \stackrel{mixed}{5\frac{1}{2}}\implies \cfrac{5\cdot 2+1}{2}\implies \stackrel{improper}{\cfrac{11}{2}} \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill\\\\ \cfrac{9}{5}\cdot \cfrac{11}{2}\implies \cfrac{9\cdot 11}{5\cdot 2}\implies \cfrac{99}{10}\implies 9\frac{9}{10}

Use the discriminant to determine the number of real solutions to the quadratic equation.
Y_Kistochka [10]

The answer is 1

Use the discramnt formula

{b {}^{2} - 4ac }

Where a is 81, B is 18, and c is 1

We get

18 {}^{2}   - 4(81)(1)

We then get 324-324=0

Which equal 0. Since the discramnt produce 0, the number of solution is one and repeated.
