Imagine removing the segment SP, what is the angle m∠RST?

m∠RST = 15x -10

Then,  the segment SP divides the angle m∠RST in two, m∠RSP and m∠PST and we know the corresponding values (in terms of x obviously). Now, each line is a way to express the situation.

m∠RST = m∠RSP + m∠PST (by Angle Addition Postulate).

15x - 10 = (x +25) + (5x +10)\\

Then, with some of algebra, we obtain

15x - 10 = 5x+35

9x = 45

x = 5

7. <u><em>Adjacent angles:</em></u> Two angles are Adjacent when they have a common side and a common vertex (that is the corner point) and don't overlap.

<u><em>Opposite angles: </em></u><em> </em> When two lines intersect, four angles are formed. The angles that are directly opposite to each other are called Opposite Angles

8. m∠LMN = 2 m∠LMP. But  The Lienar Pair says that: Two angles that are adjacent (share a leg) and supplementary (add up to 180°). Then   m∠LMN + m∠LMP = 180, so

2 m∠LMP + m∠LMP = 180, then

m∠LMP = 60

defon

The required distance is 16.40 km.

This problem can be solved if we know the concept of speed, time and distance.

We know the speed=\frac{distance}{time}

To solve the problem let us assume that the total distance between the workplace and home is x km.

Given that his speed while going from home to work is 45 mph and while returning is 35 mph.

Time for the complete journey is \frac{5}{6}hr.

Now according to question;

   \frac{x}{45}+\frac{x}{35}=\frac{5}{6}

⇒\frac{7x+9x}{315}=\frac{5}{6}

⇒16x=\frac{5*315}{6}

⇒ x=\frac{5*315}{6*16}

∴ x=16.40\ km

So, the required distance is 16.40 km.

Answer:

x=13

Step-by-step explanation:

Side Splitter Theorem states that If a line is parallel to one side of a triangle and intersects the other two sides, it divides both sides proportionally.

21/14 =1.5

6x1.5 = 9

x-4=9

x=13

Alina [70]

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

10 friends each served 400 ml of lemonade consumes 400 x 10 = 4000 ml = 4 l of lemonade in total

Pitcher size is 2 l therefore 4 / 2 = 2 pitchers are required assuming no losses.
