For the solution of this question we will use a technique called the Unitary Method. In this method we find the value of a single unit, which is 1, and then finding the necessary value by multiplying the single unit value.

In our case we are already given the value of the single unit which is 1 centimeter. And it is also given in the question that 1 centimeter =2 3/4 feet. Thus, If the length of the kitchen is 4 1/2 centimeters on the scale drawing, then the actual value of the length of the kitchen will be:

Length = 2\frac{3}{4}\times 4\frac{1}{2} = \frac{11}{4}\times \frac{9}{2}=\frac{99}{8} =12\frac{3}{8} feet

Find the height of a parallelogram with base 6.75m and an area of 218.72 square meters
oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer:

about 32.4 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a parallelogram is the equation A=Base times Height.

Put in the known values 6.75m and 218.72meters squared into the equation.

It becomes the total area 218.72 = 6.75(h)

To get h or height by itself, you have to divide both sides by 6.75. You will get the answer 32.402, or you can round it to 32.4 meters.

The volume of the cone shown below is 108pie cm^3. What is the value of H?
saw5 [17]

Answer:

h = 4cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter = 18cm

Radius = Diameter/2 = 18/2 = 9cm

V = 1/3*pi*r^2*h

We know that the volume is 108pi cm^3. We can just plug in 108pi cm^3 for V and we also know that our Radius (r) is 2.

So,

108 pi = 1/3*pi*9^2*h

108 pi = (81pi*h)/3

multiply 3 from both side

108pi*3 = (81pi*h)/3 *3

324pi = 81pi*h

Now divide the 81pi from both side

324pi/81pi = (81pi*h)/81pi

4 = h

So the height is 4cm

▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪  {\huge\mathfrak{Answer}}▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪

Base of a cube is a square, and in the given figure it's stated that the measure of each side is " x " ft

Therefore it's Area is equal to : -

  • side \times side

  • x \times x

  • {x}^{2}

Now, since it's Area is given as 1/4 ft², let's equate the Areas to find the measure of each side ~

that is ~

  • {x}^{2}  =  \dfrac{1}{4}

  • x =  \sqrt{ \dfrac{1}{2}  \times  \dfrac{1}{2} }

  • x =  \dfrac{1}{2}  \:  \: feet

It's time to find the volume of cube that is ~

  • (side) {}^{3}

So, let's plug the value of side length (1/2 ft)

Volume is equal to ~

  • {  \bigg(\dfrac{1}{2} \bigg) }^{3}

  • \dfrac{1}{8}  \:  \: ft {}^{3}

Hence, the required 1/8 or 0.125 ft³

I hope it helped ~
