Answer:

h = 4cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter = 18cm

Radius = Diameter/2 = 18/2 = 9cm

V = 1/3*pi*r^2*h

We know that the volume is 108pi cm^3. We can just plug in 108pi cm^3 for V and we also know that our Radius (r) is 2.

So,

108 pi = 1/3*pi*9^2*h

108 pi = (81pi*h)/3

multiply 3 from both side

108pi*3 = (81pi*h)/3 *3

324pi = 81pi*h

Now divide the 81pi from both side

324pi/81pi = (81pi*h)/81pi

4 = h

So the height is 4cm

Answer:

h = 4cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter = 18cm

Radius = Diameter/2 = 18/2 = 9cm

V = 1/3*pi*r^2*h

We know that the volume is 108pi cm^3. We can just plug in 108pi cm^3 for V and we also know that our Radius (r) is 2.

So,

108 pi = 1/3*pi*9^2*h

108 pi = (81pi*h)/3

multiply 3 from both side

108pi*3 = (81pi*h)/3 *3

324pi = 81pi*h

Now divide the 81pi from both side

324pi/81pi = (81pi*h)/81pi

4 = h

So the height is 4cm

Cora said that (5b)^2 = 10b^2. <br> Describe her mistake and state the correct answer.
klio [65]

The easiest answer I know is if you swap the bs with xs, then there will be two equations called parabolas. They open upward if the value is positive and open downward if the value is negative. If the exponent is 2, then it's a parabola. If it's 3, then it's a cubic function, because cube is for "3". Square is for "2". If you look at both parabolas, you can see that 10x^2 is wider than (5x)^2.

So the best answer I can think of is She made a mistake because the parabola on the 10x² graph is wider than the (5x)² graph. Also, it's because 5x and 10x are not the same thing. When an x value increases, the graph is narrower.

Find the length of the leg. If your answer is not an integer, leave it in simplest radical form. answer asap pls
Nitella [24]
A 45-45 90 triangle has two lengths that are equal, and the hypotenuse is √2 times those lengths.

Therefore:
Let x = the length of a leg (doesn't matter which one, they are equal)
√2 * x = 24        Divide both sides by √2
x = 24 / √2
To get the radical out of the denominator, multiply the right side by √2/√2
x = 24√2 / 2
x = 12√2      Answer is B
