Frog's heart<span> has one ventricle, while humans have 2, hence deoxygenated blood from body mixes with the oxygenated blood coming from lungs.

The frog heart has 3 chambers: two atria and a single ventricle (humans have 2). The atrium receives deoxygenated blood from the blood vessels (veins) that drain the various organs of the body. The left atrium receives oxygenated blood from the lungs and skin (which also serves as a gas exchange organ in most amphibians).

To which organelle does a C-terminal signal peptide sequence of the four amino acids KDELdirect peptides?
Fofino [41]

Answer:

Endoplasmic reticulum.

Explanation:

Protein synthesis, sorting and transport is the important mechanism for the synthesis of protein in the body and the transport of the protein to its specific site or organ. The protein must reaches to its final destination for its proper functioning.

KDEL ( K- leucine, D is aspartic acid, E is glutamic acid and L is lysine ) is the stretch of a specific amino acid that are responsible for the protein molecule to target at its specific site. KDEL is specific for the transport of peptides to the endoplasmic reticulum.

Thus, the correct answer is option (A).

Explain how and why you would conduct a study to determine if this bone can be used to determine sex
Hatshy [7]

Answer:

The pelvis is the best sex-related skeletal indicator, because of distinct features adapted for childbearing. The skull also has features that can indicate sex, though slightly less reliably. Males have a square jawline and the line between the outer edge of the jaw and the ear is vertical. Conversely, in females the jaw is much more pointed and the edge of the jaw slopes gently towards the ear.
