Due to recent drought, a farmer has lost quite a bit of soil on his fields because?
jeyben [28]
Well... i think that when drying up, the soil breaks down into a powder, but i think you know that already. but maybe when the water all evaporates, you know it doesn't leave all of the dirt behind. like when saltwater is evaporated it doesn't leave behind the salt. so my best guess is that bits of soil was brought up wit the water

Yanka [14]

Answer:

Trying to use the Scientific Method.

Explanation:

These two students are trying to make a experiment on these pigs they are raising. The reason why it is more like to attract the scientific method is because the steps were doing were based on it. (For example, they both might form a question and try different types of things to raise a pig)

Hope this helps, and have a wonderful day!!!

What is a cause and effect of a local environmental problem related to human activity?
Fantom [35]
There is a serious problem related to global warming is that in British Columbia there is a scourge of our pine trees occurring in our dry Interior of what is called a pine beetle. Since it doesn't get below about -30 degrees centigrade for 3 weeks anymore in the winter, these pests do not get killed in the winter so for probably at least 15-20 years now they have gone on the rampage and killed large swaths of our pine forests.

When the sawmills in BC saw this pine beetle-killed lumber it is so dry it creates a lot of fine dust in the mills. Due to poor control of this dust there has been two explosions in which this dust has ignited and 2 or 3 workers have been killed as a result. So in this way global warming can be deadly to human activity if extra precautions are not taken.
