Which of the following parties was originally a splinter party? the Greenback Party the Progressive Party the Green Party the L
elena55 [62]
The correct answer is the Progressive Party.

The Progressive Party, formed in 1912, is considered a splinter party. This is because the Progressive Party consisted of members that broke away from the Republican Party during this era. Thanks to the efforts of Teddy Roosevelt, thousands of Republicans left the party and joined Roosevelt in his efforts to win the presidency again in 1912. However, this splinter party was short lived as Roosevelt was easily defeated by Woodrow Wilson in the presidential election of 1912.

If the Cuban government agreed to hold fair democratic
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

The United States would most likely lift the Embargo against Cuba and re-establish diplomatic/political ties with the nation.

Explanation:

Because the United States has had such a "bitter" relationship with the Cubans, for example the bay of pigs invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis, we  essentially had cut all ties and trade relations with the island-nation. Recently, we have been trying to re-establish ties with the nation, but the embargo has yet to be lifted. However, if the Cuban government reformed and started to hold fair democratic elections then I would have no doubt in my mind that we would once again establish diplomatic ties and lift the embargo currently placed on Cuba.
