Scientists have found that the life span of a mammal living in captivity is related to the mammals mass. The life span in years

L can be approximated by the formula L=12m^1/5, where m is the mammal's mass in kilograms. How much longer is the life span of a lion compared with that of a wolf?
wolf=32 kg
lion=243 kg

To know the life span of the wolf and the lion, we simply substitute their mass to the formula for L.

Mass of wolf:
L=12 m^{ \frac{1}{5} }= 12 (32)^{ \frac{1}{5} }=24

Mass of lion:
L=12 m^{ \frac{1}{5} }= 12 (243)^{ \frac{1}{5} }=36

Therefore, the wolf has a life span of 24 and the lion has a life span of 36. With this information, we can determine how much longer the life span of the lion is:
36-24=12

ANSWER: The life span of the lion is 12 longer than the life span of the wolf.

Trava [24]

Answer:

RH = 8.2 units

Step-by-step explanation:

total circumference = 2rπ = 2(10)(3.14) = 62.8 units

RH = (47°/360°)(62.8) = 8.2 units

7.<br>(-3x³)(-2x³y⁴z)(-3z²)÷(4x³z)(-3yz) (-3xyz)
serg [7]

Answer:

-\frac{x^2y^2}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

We have an extremely large equation and are asked to divide it, so let's solve it step-by-step :

Remove the parenthesis to make it easier to read :

\frac{-3x^3 *2x^3y^4z *3z^2}{4x^3z*3yz*3xyz}

Multiply the numerators :

\frac{-18x^6y^4z^3}{4*3*3x^3yyzzz}

Multiply the denominators :

\frac{-18x^6y^4z^3}{36x^4y^2z^3}

Apply the negative rule :

-\frac{18x^6y^4z^3}{36x^4y^2z^3}

Cancel the common factor which is 18 :

-\frac{x^6y^4z^3}{2x^4y^2z^3}

Apply the addition exponent rule :

\frac{y^4z^3x^{6-4} }{2y^2z^3}

Subtract :

\frac{x^2y^4z^3 }{2y^2z^3}

Apply the rule for y :

\frac{x^2y^{4-2} z^3 }{2z^3}

Subtract :

\frac{x^2y^2z^3 }{2z^3}

Cancel the common factor of z^3 :

-\frac{x^2y^2}{2}

When finding slope the answer is always going to be rise/run so in this case,

#1 would be 1/2 (bc it goes up one and right 2)

#2 we have a rise of 3 and a run of 3 leaving our slope to be 3/3 simplified simply being 1

another trick you could use is dividing the denominator by the numerator
