Answer:

C. Label 1: X

Label 2: Z

Label 3: Y

Explanation:

A gamma ray is an electromagnetic radiation that can also exist as a photon. It is often referred to as a high energy photon. Secondly, a positron is one of the types of a beta particle. Lastly, the emission of either gamma or beta does not have any effects on the mass number of the radioactive material. Therefore, the correct order of arrangement/label is:

Label 1: X

Label 2: Z

Label 3: Y

A museum sets up a display of fluorescent minerals. which best describes how electromagnetic waves can be used to enhance the di
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

ultraviolet light shining on the minerals will cause them to give off visible light.

Explanation:

Here we know that in all electromagnetic waves have certain range of energy

Here in the above case when a given frequency range of electromagnetic wave incident on the fluorescent mineral then that mineral will absorb few amount of energy and the remaining energy will throw back into the surrounding again.

So here the main concept is that when a electromagnetic wave which is higher in energy then visible light incident on fluorescent material then it will absorb some amount of energy and the remaining energy is released in form of light

So here energy more than visible light is for ultraviolet light only

so here the correct answer would be

ultraviolet light shining on the minerals will cause them to give off visible light.

An object travels at constant velocity of 3 m/s for a time period of 7.15 s. What is its displacement over this time?
son4ous [18]

Hi there!

We can use the following equation for constant velocity:

\large\boxed{d = vt}

d = displacement (m)

v = velocity (m/s)

t = time (s)

Plug in the givens:

d = 3 * 7.15 = \boxed{21.45 m}

What is the application of a spherometer in the medical field?
Anton [14]

Answer:

To correct the defects of vision by measuring the radius of curvature and thus the power of the lenses.

Explanation:

A spherometer is an instrument used to measure the curvature of objects such as lenses and curved mirrors.

Generally it consists of a fine screw which is moving in a nut carried on the center of a 3 small legged table or frame. The feet forms the vertices of an equilateral triangle. The lower end of the screw and those of the table legs are finely tapered and terminate in hemispheres.

If the screw has two turns of the thread to the milli meter the head is generally divided into 50 equal parts, so that differences of 0.01 millimeter may be measured without using a vernier scale.

The spherometer is used to measure the radius of curvature of the lenses so that the opthalmologist find the focal length of the lens and then give the  power to the lens to correct the defects of vision.
