I might call this a 'bumper' or 'fender' meeting and by comparison, in mining or mineral exploration it often is centred on safety ie expected safety hazards and what precautions to take but could also be very helpful for a rough overview of the overall work for the day,

The movies Goldfinger (James Bond Movie) and Die Hard 3 (Die Hard with a Vengeance) both involve the perpetrators doing somethin
yaroslaw [1]

Explanation:

After the failure of a drug factory in Latin America, James Bond — agent 007—goes to Miami Beach. Where he receives orders from his boss, M, by CIA agent Felix Leiter, to monitor the bullion dealer Auric Gold Finger, who is staying at the same hotel as Bond. The investigator sees Gold's finger gambling on gin rummy and saves him by manipulating his worker, Jill Master's son, and extorting Gold's finger from losing. Bondand Jill is consummating their current relationship; however, Bond is eventually deprived of Gold Finger's Korean manservant Odd's work. As Bond regains consciousness, he discovers Jill dead, coated in gold polish, dying from "epidermal suffocation."

In Paris, Bond discovers that his goal is to decide whether Gold Finger smuggles gold globally. Bond arranges to encounter Gold Finger socially and wins a high-stakes game of golf against him, with the Nazi gold bar at stake. Bond leads him to Switzerland, where Tilly, Jill Masterson's niece, attempts an futile attempt at vengeance by shooting a Gold Finger sniper gun.

Bond wanders into Gold Finger's factory and learns that he smuggles the gold by burning it down and putting it into the bodywork of his vehicle, which he brings with him every time he drives. Bond even overhears him speak about "Project Grand Slam" to a Red Chinese agent called Mr. Ling. Leaving, Bond comes across Tilly as she's attempting to destroy Gold Finger again, but she's creating an alarm in the process; odd job kills Tilly with her hat. Bond is caught and Gold finger binds Bond to the cutting table below the advanced torch, which proceeds to break a sheet of gold in two, with Bond sitting on it. Bond lies telling the Gold Finger which MI6 learns of Grand Slam, leading the Gold Finger to save Bond's life and trick MI6 into thinking that Bond has matters in order.

What is the present value of 10 equal payments of $22,500 to be made at the end of each year for the next 10 years? The annual i
Vanyuwa [196]

Answer:

a.

We use the formula for calculating present value of annuity to solve the question as followed:

(22,500/10%) x [ 1 - 1.1^(-10) ] = $138,253.

b.

The present value of the total severance package is calculated as:

120,000 cash paid at the beginning + Present value of $131,000 paid in one year time + Present value of 7 annuities paid at the end of each year starting from the end of this year = 120,000 + 131,000/1.06 + [ 29,500/6% x (1 - 1.06^(-7)) ] = $408,265.

c.

Option 1: to collect lump sum of $107,000 today will give present value of $107,00

Option 2: to collect seven equal $20,500 at the end of each year will give present value as calculated below by applying the present value formula for annuity:

(20,500/8%) x ( 1 - 1.08^-(7)] = $106,731.

d.

The present value of this investment is equal to:

Present value of the annuity made of 8 equal payments at the end of each year, $15,000 each + Present value of $150,000 receipt paid in 8 year time = (15,000/7%) x [1 - 1.07^(-8) ] + 150,000/1.07^(-8) = $176,871.

asambeis [7]
Mike will earn $2,400,000 for the year. Social security withholds 6.2% which equals $148,800, though Social security has a maximum base amount of $118,500. So the total amount withheld for Social Security will be $118,500. Medicare withholds 1.45% which equals $34,800. So the total amount withheld for Medicare will be $34,800. The total withheld from both Social Security and Medicare would be $153,300.

Flauer [41]

The second manager makes better decision amongst the two managers

Explanation:

Inventory refers to that part of the final goods or the products that have remained unsold for the current period. Generally, Inventory is associated with liability in the long term since they are associated with storage surcharges and obsolescence threats.

Amongst the two managers, the second manager is more capable of making a better decision since his decisions led to just 20% of the net produced goods to turn inventory which remains advantageous for the company. Whereas for the first manager, 80% of the items remain as inventory. Hence more risk and greater storage surcharges for the firm
