Hi!

To solve this, we need to divide the fractions.

When dividing fractions, you multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second fraction. The reciprocal is a flipped fraction. So the reciprocal of 1/2 is 2/1.

\frac{7}{8} * \frac{4}{1}
\frac{28}{8}

\frac{28}{8} can be simplified to

\frac{7}{2},
3 \frac{1}{2},
or 3.5.

Hope this helps! :)

What is the value of x?
lord [1]
1. When the lines cross, the form to angles that opposite each other: (2x+2)º and (3x-52)º. By definition, they are "Vertical angles" and are congruent. Then, to find the value of "x", you must follow the proccedure below:

 2x+2=3x-52

 2. When you clear "x", you obtain:

 2+52=3x-2x
 x=54º

 Therefore, the value of "x" is 54º

Do the paired points in the table represent a proportional relationship on the graph?
adelina 88 [10]
If we find the unit rate for the graph, that means it's proportional. For the first question, we could see that the unit rate is 2/1, so it's proportional.

. All the students in SS3 of a named school take either Mathematics (M), or Physics (P) or Chemistry (C). 40 take Mathematics, 4
aivan3 [116]

Answer:

(a) = 13

(b) = 8

(c) = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Addition theorems on sets are

Theorem 1 :

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

Theorem 2 :

n(AuBuC) : = n(A) + n(B) + n(C) - n(AnB) - n(BnC) - n(AnC) + n(AnBnC)

Total number of students in the school is not given

so let there are 60 students in the school

using theorem 2

n(AuBuC) : = n(A) + n(B) + n(C) - n(AnB) - n(BnC) - n(AnC) + n(AnBnC)

let n(A) = Mathematics, n(B) =Physics and n(C) = Chemistry

so putting values,

   60             =    40 + 42 + 38 - 20 - 28 - 25 + n(AnBnC)

60 +73 -120 = n(AnBnC)

         13         = n(AnBnC)

therefore, there are total 13 students who take all three subjects

Number of students who had taken only Mathematics  =
n(A) - n(AnB) - n(AnC) + n(AnBnC)

40 - 20 - 25 + 13

53 - 45 = 8 students

Number of students who had taken only Physics  =

n(B) - n(BnA) - n(BnC) + n(AnBnC)

42 - 20 - 28 + 13

53 - 48 = 5 students

<em>Hi there !</em>

<em>c = 2πr  } => c = πd => d = c/π</em>

<em>2r = d</em>

<em>replace c ; π</em>

<em>π  =3.14</em>

<em>d = 74cm/3.14</em>

<em>= 23.5668</em>

<em>≈ 24 cm</em>
