Hello,

The excluded values are the roots of the denominator.

x²-7x+10=x²-2x-5x+10=x(x-2)-5(x-2)=(x-2)(x-5)

Roots of the denominator are x=2 and x=5

The vertex of this parabola is at (-3, 6). Which of the following could be its equation?
12345 [234]
Nice, already in vertex form
y=a(x-h)^2+k
(h,k) is vertex

therfor since (-3,6) is vertex
we are looking for something like
y=a(x-(-3))^2+6 simplified to
y=a(x+3)^2+6

The modest acceptance speech of the Academy Awardwinning
Yakvenalex [24]

The correct answer is option d) reserve.

The modest acceptance speech of the Academy Award-winning actress revealed a reserve that contrasted with her uninhibited screen performances.

Due to the fact that the words "contrasted" and "uninhibited" in the sentence have a clear relationship to the word "modest," choice D is the best response.

Because the words "modest" and "unrestrained" clash with each other, the only proper response is one that deals with restraint.

Dramatically speaking, sulkiness or carelessness are not things that are really important. In this sense, a person who is constrained is the antithesis of a person who is uncontrolled.

Consider the following hypotheses.
KiRa [710]

Answer:

(a) There is sufficient evidence to conclude that the population proportion equals 0.11.

(b) p-value is 0.0548

(c) Critical values are -2.58, 2.58

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) Conclusion:

Fail to reject H0 because the p-value 0.0548 is greater than the significance level 0.01.

(b) The test is a two-tailed test because the alternate hypothesis is expressed using not equal to.

Test statistic (z) = (p' - p) ÷ sqrt[p(1-p) ÷ n]

p' is sample proportion = 0.16

p is population proportion = 0.11

n is sample size = 150

z = (0.16 - 0.11) ÷ sqrt[0.11(1-0.11) ÷ 150] = 0.05 ÷ 0.026 = 1.92

Cumulative area of the test statistic is 0.9726

p-value for a two-tailed test = 2(1 - 0.9726) = 2(0.0274) = 0.0548

(c) The critical values of the test statistic are -2.58, 2.58
