Answer:

Birth rate per minute is 7.913

Birth rate per thousand is 11.457

Solution:

As per the given data in the question:

No. of births in the year 2015, n = 4,159,000

Total population size, N = 3,630,00,000 = 363000 thousand

Now,

To calculate the birth rate in births per min:

No. of days in the year 2015 = 365 days

No. hours in a day = 24 hrs

1 hour = 60 mins

Thus

Total minutes in the year 2015, t = 365\times 24\times 60 = 525,600\ min

Birth rate = \frac{n}{t} = \frac{4159000}{525600} = 7.913

Now,

To calculate the birth rate per thousand people:

= \frac{n}{N} = \frac{4159000}{363000} = 11.457

Taya2010 [7]

The answer is 20 miles per hour. <em>If you are approaching any type of authorized emergency vehicle parked on a two-lane roadway with their lights flashing, you must slow to a speed is 20 mph less than the posted speed limit. </em>The reason is so that the normal flow of traffic does hinder the emergency responders from doing their jobs which often times means the saving of lives. This law reduces the speed of the normal flow of traffic for this purpose.

Alexandra [31]

The correct answer <em>"c. social identification with a group can increase ingroup favoritism."</em>.

In the Jigsaw classroom work, Aronson demonstrated that when a group formed of students from different backgrounds is created and each member shares a specific role, there is a reduction in prejudice and stereotyping. Additionally, subjects tended to improve their relationships within-groups and out-groups.

The cave experiment, two groups of individuals from a similar social background were formed and put into a competition between each other. After the tasks they were assigned, there was a clear increase in prejudice and in-group favoritism from members of both groups.

Both experiments had a different focus on the same issue, which was that social affinity increases behaviors of prejudice and stereotypes in regards to other groups.
