Answer:

Birth rate per minute is 7.913

Birth rate per thousand is 11.457

Solution:

As per the given data in the question:

No. of births in the year 2015, n = 4,159,000

Total population size, N = 3,630,00,000 = 363000 thousand

Now,

To calculate the birth rate in births per min:

No. of days in the year 2015 = 365 days

No. hours in a day = 24 hrs

1 hour = 60 mins

Thus

Total minutes in the year 2015, t = 365\times 24\times 60 = 525,600\ min

Birth rate = \frac{n}{t} = \frac{4159000}{525600} = 7.913

Now,

To calculate the birth rate per thousand people:

= \frac{n}{N} = \frac{4159000}{363000} = 11.457

Stan complains to his roommate that he never has enough time to finish all the homework he's assigned, and his roommate tells hi
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

Stan's behavior demonstrates time inconsistency.

Explanation:

In Economics, time inconsistency is the change that occurs in a person's preferences over time. That change leads the person to reach a different evaluation when it comes to the costs and the benefits of a decision. In Stan's case, he seems to be prioritizing his time. He even complains that he never has enough time to finish all his homework. We can assume, from his complaint, that he wishes he had the time. Yet, at this very moment, he has chosen to watch three movies instead of doing his assignments. His current decision is inconsistent with what seems to be his preference. Clearly, he believes the benefits of watching the movies to be higher than the costs of not doing his homework. At this moment, therefore, there is an inconsistency between his preferences.

Ymorist [56]

Answer: both testing effects and the effects of the calming music

Explanation: A brief intelligence test helps reinforce learning and makes it more likely that the participants can retrieve related information later as it is more likely to retain information if it is learned separated over time. Calming music may improve test-taking skills, improve performance, reduce stress and test anxiety of the participants and well as improving concentration. Therefore, the participants' increases in test scores may be due to both testing effects and the effects of the calming music.
