That is a really subjective questions but i think the government need to be really involved in foreign trade.
When we're talking about foreign trade, we're talking about products from competitors country such as China, which tend to be cheaper but in lower quality. When this products managed to win the market in US, a lot of US based employees will be really likely to lose their jobs.
So i think some regulations in foreign trade will be necessary

Consider a firm with a contract to sell an asset for $154,000 five years from now. The asset costs $90,000 to produce today. Giv
horsena [70]

Answer:

the firm will have a loss of 6.414,97‬

Break-even rate = 11.34%

Explanation:

We calcualte the present value of a lump sum to know the present sale value:

\frac{Nominal}{(1 + rate)^{time} } = PV

Nominal:  154,000

time               5 years

rate               0.13

\frac{154000}{(1 + 0.13)^{5} } = PV

PV   83,585.03

the current sale price        83,585.03

given a cost of               <u>   (90,000)      </u>

the firm will have a loss of 6.414,97‬

To break event the present value should be 90,000:

\frac{154000}{(1 + r)^{5} } = 90,000

\sqrt{5}{\frac{154000}{90,000}} -= (1 + r)

rate = 0.113411345 = 11.34%

An individual is now 50 years old, that he plans to retire in 10 years, and that he expects to live for 25 years after he retire
Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

Ans.  He must save during each of the following 10 years, at the end of each year $32,452.

Explanation:

Hi, in order to find the amount of money that he should have in ten years so he can receive an annual payment of $65,156 for 25 more years (24 payments), we need to bring to present value all 24 payments to year 10. Let me show you the formula.

PresentValue_{10} =\frac{A((1+r)^{n}-1) }{r(1+r)^{n} }

Where:

A= $65,156

n= 24

r= 0.08

Therefore the present value in year 10 is:

PresentValue_{10} =\frac{65,156((1+0.08)^{24}-1) }{0.08(1+0.08)^{24} }=686,012

So that is our present value in year 10, or to put it in other words, our future value (if we look at it from year 0). Now we need to find the annuity (amount to save) that with account for $686,012, plus that $100,000 that he already has saved.

Every should look like this.

686,012=100,000*(1+0.08)^{10} +\frac{A((1+0.08)^{10}-1) }{0.08(1+0.08)^{10} }

And we solve this equation for "A".

686,012=A(14.4865625)+215,892

A=\frac{(686,012-215,892)}{14.4865625} =32,452

Best of luck.

SpeakEasy, a U.S. software company that specializes in voice-recognition software, wishes to rapidly enter the growing technical
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

<h2>In this case, the answer would be acquiring or merging with other firms producing related products or services.</h2>

Explanation:

  • As mentioned in the question, the market for technical translation software is basically dominated by firms producing differentiated or specialized products and services.
  • Now, considering that SpeakEasy is a completely new entrant in the market, it will be extremely difficult for the company to initially compete with the established market leaders or firms dominating the market.
  • Hence, SpeakEasy can perhaps consider acquiring or merging with some of the firms producing or specializing in voice-recognition software  that will eventually ease the burden of market competition or rivalry for the company and consequently,it can commercially and economically grow and prosper in the market by capturing new customers and expanding market share.
  • Mergers or acquisitions, in this case, would help the company to effectively focus on its specialized activities and conducts through knowledge sharing, economies of scale or lower average production cost,transfer or transmission of technological knowledge and exploration of new customer or client bases.
