Answer: balanced

Explanation: Skeletal equations are defined as the equations in which formula are used to indicate the chemicals that are involved in a chemical reaction.

H_2+O_2\rightarrow H_2O

Balance equations are those equations in which stochiometric coefficients are given along with the formula to indicate the chemicals that are involved in a chemical reaction.

2H_2+O_2\rightarrow 2H_2O

According to the law of conservation of mass, mass can neither be created nor be destroyed. Thus the mass of products has to be equal to the mass of reactants. The number of atoms of each element has to be same on reactant and product side. Thus chemical equations are balanced.

If the number of atoms in the reactants equals the number of atoms in the products, the equation is \boxed{{\text{balanced}}}.

Further Explanation:

Chemical reaction is the process of transformation of one substance into another. Reactants are the substances that participate in chemical reactions by undergoing changes in them whereas products are the substances that are produced as a result of chemical reactions. Reactants get converted into products with the help of chemical reactions.

Chemical reactions need to be written in balanced form so as they obey law of mass conservation. This law states that mass of any isolated system remains constant. It cannot be created or destroyed during chemical reactions. A chemical reaction is said to be balanced if it has same number of atoms of each type on both sides of reaction.

For example, reaction between {{\text{N}}_2} and {{\text{H}}_{\text{2}}} is written as follows:

{{\text{N}}_2} + 3{{\text{H}}_2} \to 2{\text{N}}{{\text{H}}_3}

Where,

{{\text{N}}_2} and {{\text{H}}_{\text{2}}} are reactants.

{\text{N}}{{\text{H}}_{\text{3}}} is product.

On the reactant side,

Number of N atoms is 2.

Number of H atoms is 6.

On the product side,

Number of N atoms is 2.

Number of H atoms is 6.

Number of atoms of each element is the same on both sides of the reaction and therefore this equation is said to be balanced. So if number of atoms in the reactants equals the number of atoms in the products, the equation is balanced.

Dimensional analysis: if you count at the rate of 2 numbers every secound, how many days whould it take you to count to 1 millio
son4ous [18]

Answer:  5 days

Explanation:

1,000,000/2 = 500,000 *do this because of the 2 numbers every second

500,000/60= 8,333.33 *do this to get minutes

8,333.33/60= 138.88 *do this to get hours

138.88/24= 5.7866 *do this to get days

5 days 7 hours 8 minutes 6 seconds

How many grams of Fe can be produced when 6.50 g of Fe2O3 reacts?
AveGali [126]

Answer:

Mass of Fe produced = 4.468 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of Fe produced = ?

Mass of Fe₂O₃ react = 6.50 g

Solution:

Chemical equation:

2Fe₂O₃        →     4Fe + 3O₂

Number of moles of Fe₂O₃ ;

Number of moles = mass/molar mass

Number of moles = 6.50 g/159.69 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.04 mol

Now we will compare the moles of iron and ironoxide.

                    Fe₂O₃             :             Fe

                         2                :              4

                       0.04             :             4/2×0.04 = 0.08 mol

Mass of iron produced:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.08 mol × 55.85 g/mol

Mass = 4.468 g
