To find a percent of a number, multiply the percent by the number.

First we find the number of pennies.

40% of 220 =

= 40% * 220

= 0.4 * 220

= 88

88 coins are pennies.

220 - 88 = 132

132 coins are not pennies.

Now we find 25% of 132.

25% of 132 =

= 25% * 132

= 0.25 * 132

= 33

33 coins are partners.

(Did you mean quarters instead of partners?)

What are the amplitude, period, and phase shift of the given function? f(t)=-1/2sin(3t-2pi)
Romashka [77]

Answer:

The amplitude=|A|=\frac{1}{2}, period=3 and \text{phase shift}=\frac{2\pi}{3}.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given function is

f(t)=-\frac{1}{2}\sin (3t-2\pi)      .... (1)

The general form of sine function is

F(t)=A\sin (Bt-C)+D                 ....(2)

where, |A| is the amplitude, B is period, D is the vertical shift (up or down), and C/B is used to find the phase shift.

On comparing (1) and (2), we get

A=-\frac{1}{2}

B=3

C=2\pi

D=0

So,

amplitude=|A|=\frac{1}{2}

period=3

\text{phase shift}=\frac{2\pi}{3}

Therefore amplitude=|A|=\frac{1}{2}, period=3 and \text{phase shift}=\frac{2\pi}{3}.

An Internet and cable-television supplier surveyed a random sample of their customers. The results are shown in the table.
IrinaVladis [17]

For the statement "....A 4-column table with 3 rows. The first column has no label with entries internet, cable television, or total. The second column is labeled satisfied with entries ..." statement about the two-way frequency table that is true is  About one-fourth of the cable-television customers are not satisfied. Option D.

This is further explained below.

<h3>What is a two-way frequency table?</h3>

Generally,  A two-way table may be used to show the frequency of occurrence of two categories. A row represents a single category, whereas a column represents a different category.

In conclusion, There are 3,141 customers in total, of which 2,032 are internet customers and 1,109 are cable customers.
