The given blank can be filled with transcellular transport absorption.

Transcellular transport comprises the conduction of solutes by a cell through a cell. One common illustration is the movement of glucose to the extracellular fluid from the intestinal lumen by the epithelial cells.

The epithelial cells use secondary and primary active transport, usually in combination with passive diffusion via ion channels, to generate transcellular transport across the epithelial tissues. This mode of conduction can either be secretion, transport from blood to the lumen, or absorption, that is, transport of lumen to blood.

Transport of a substance from the lumen (cavity) of an organ into one side of a cell and out the other side of the cell into the extracellular fluid is called transcellular transport.

The two routes of transport of substances across the epithelium of the gut are by transcellular method and paracellular method.

Transcellular transport refers to the transport of solutes across a epithelial cell layer through the cells. The best example is the movement of glucose from the intestinal lumen to the extracellular fluid by the epithelial cells. The epithelial cells use the active transport to generate the transcellular transport. Active transport refers to the transport of substances from a region of its lower concentration to a region of its higher concentration against the concentration gradient using cellular energy.

What is the role of convention in plate tectonics?
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

read below

Explanation:

Convection currents in the magma drive plate tectonics. Heat generated from the radioactive decay of elements deep in the interior of the Earth creates magma (molten rock) in the aesthenosphere. The aesthenosphere (70 ~ 250 km) is part of the mantle, the middle sphere of the Earth that extends to 2900 km.
