Average speed=the slope.
Points: (0,0) and (2.34,16.34) since the position is dependent on the time.
Use the formula m=y2-y1/x2-x1 and sub in the points
M=16.34-0/2.34-0
M=16.34/2.34
M=6.98 or 7

Rank the following in order of increasingly positive hydrogen charge: a) HClO2, HCl, CH4, H2O, HClO
Lisa [10]

Answer:

CH4<HClO2<HClO<H2O<HCl

Explanation:

In ranking the compounds on the basis of increasing positive charge of hydrogen, we must consider the relative oxidation numbers of the various elements in the compounds.

Methane contains a nonpolar covalent bond, HClO2 contains a chlorine atom in +3 oxidation state, HClO contains a chlorine atom in +1 oxidation state. The more the positive charge on the halogen atom the lesser the magnitude of positive charge on the hydrogen atom. Between water and HCl, chlorine is more electro negative hence HCl will contain a more positively charged hydrogen atom than water.

As the pendulum moves from point 2 to point 3, what happens to its mechanical energy?potential energy is converted to kinetic en
ahrayia [7]

Answer: Potential energy is converted to kinetic energy and back again.

Explanation:At points 1 and 3, the pendulum stops moving, and its mechanical energy is purely potential. At point 2, the pendulum is moving the fastest, and its mechanical energy is purely kinetic. Therefore, as the pendulum moves from point 1 to point 3, its potential energy is first converted to kinetic energy, then back to potential.
