Solve for t. -5 − 2t = 3t

First, we have to isolate the t, or keep it by itself, to solve. To do that, we need to move everything with t in it to on side.

-5 - 2t + 2t = 3t + 2t

The -2t and + 2t cross out, leaving us with t on one side, which is exactly what we want!

-5 = 5t

But t isn't alone yet. We need to get rid of its five. To do that, we need to use the same process: use the opposite symbol. In 5t, 5 is being multiplied by t. To get rid of, we need to divide 5. BUT the mega rule in algebra... what you do to one side you must do to the other, or else the equation would not be true anymore, so...

-5/5 = 5t/5

-1 = t

There's your answer! Hope this helps!

T is equal to -1.
  1. Add 2t to both sides of the equation. -5 = 5t
  2. Divide both sides of the equation by -5. 1 = -t
  3. Multiply both sides of the equation by -1. -1 = t

Use prime factor decomposition to find the Hcf of 99 and 165
const2013 [10]

Answer:

HCF = 33.

Step-by-step explanation:

99 = 3*3*11

165 = 3*5*11

3 and 11 are common so the HCF = 3*11

= 33.

The first and third quartiles
aalyn [17]
1. You'll need to download this data, or copy it down by hand.
2. Rearrange the data from lowest to highest values.
3. You have 24 data points (an even number).
       In this case, to find the 1st quadrant, take the left half (that is, the left 12) data points. Since 12 is an even number, you must find the average of the middle two of these 12 data points. Your result is the 1st quadrant.
      To find the 3rd quadrant, find the middle two data points of the right-hand 12 data points. Average these two points. The result is the 3rd quadrant.

The mean distance of the Moon from Earth is 2.39x10^5 miles. Assuming that the orbit of the Moon around Earth is circular and th
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer:

2291,94 mph

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this we need to consider the distance 2.39x10^5 miles as the distance between the center of the earth and the center of the moon, if not we would need to know the radius of the earth and the moon.

If the distance is 2.39x10^5 miles, the orbit is = 2.Pi.(2.39x10^5) miles=1501681.288miles

It takes 27.3 days, that are, 27.3*24= 655.2hours

1501681.288miles/655.2hours= 2291.94 mph
