There is no way to measure happiness.

Happiness is not a hing that we can predict in the brain, but if we could predict probably a problem for utilitarianism.

Utilitarianism is a philosophical trend that was created in the 18th century by British philosophers Jeremy Bentham (1748-1832) and John Stuart Mill (1806-1873).

This model is chosen by a moral and ethical philosophical system where a useful action is called the most correct, and hence its name. In this case, a search for pleasure is an important feature.

Therefore, as actions aim at an end where the consequences are focused on pleasure and happiness, as well as on the usefulness of these acts.

Therefore, it investigates how actions and the results they provide or well-being to sentient beings, that is, those who consciously have feelings.

The empirical mode of men is able to regulate and choose their actions. Thus, it becomes possible and half of consciousness to achieve or pleasure, at the expense of suffering and pain.

"If" global climate change can be reduced by the reduction of the use of fossil fuels such as oil - do you support a global push
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

I am prepared to stop oil extraction and use of petroleum.

Explanation:

Yes, I support a global push to go away from oil towards cleaner fuel sources regardless of much it might affect us. As a citizen of Saudi Arabia, I know that our country's economy depends on the extraction of fuel and its contribution is the backbone of our country.

However, if we look into impact it has on the environment, it is really disheartening. The earth is getting rapidly warmer each day, many animal species are on the verge of extinction, there are multitudes of environmental crisis everywhere, and the polluted air is affecting the lives of millions.

I understand that doing away with extraction of oil would greatly affect the standard of living of many people, yet it is worth the risk. The government of Saudi Arabia can always look for alternative ways to invest our billions of revenue into other avenues such as technology, tourism, corporate, renewable energy, etc.

We can adopt economic measures and practices like Japan and Korea where investments are channelled into technology and computer science. Though doing away with extraction of feul may put lots of people at stake, the future generations would at least have a better and cleaner earth. We cannot deny the implications of petroleum and it is becoming very threatening everyday. Therfore, I am prepared to stop oil extraction and use of petroleum.
