Answer:

d. Oxygen

Explanation:

Greenhouse gases are water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O) and ozone (O3), however oxygen (O2) is not a greenhouse gas.

These gases devour large portions of infrared radiation, which emanates particularly from the Earth's crust, and thus makes their irradiation into the space circuit more difficult. This mechanism is self-preserving, as it prevents the Planet from releasing high temperatures to the Cosmos, leaving the Earth warm enough for living beings to survive in this environment.

The famous greenhouse effect, therefore, is super natural, and has been repeated on the Planet since its appearance in the Universe. However, the performance of Man, responsible for the irradiation of these gases in an exaggerated and disproportionate way, mainly through industrial activities has made the greenhouse effect become something malefic and very harmful to the life of the planet. The result of this is the production of the so-called global warming, torrential rains, the melting of the polar ice caps, and it can bring even more serious and dire results in the near future.
