Which statement best describes why antimicrobial drugs that affect cell wall synthesis tend to have selective toxicity when used

by humans?
Group of answer choices

Human cells only synthesize peptidoglycan as a food source.

Human cells do not have cell walls.

Most bacteria only synthesize cell walls during their log phase of growth.

Cell wall synthesis is a common metabolic process in humans and bacteria.

Human cells do not have cell walls is the statement which best describes antimicrobial drugs that affect cell wall synthesis

Explanation:

Human cell is very different from the bacteria and foreign materials which enters into the body. There are many bacteria and virus which tends to cause disease in the human body.

There are many medicines such as antibacterial, antimicrobial drugs which are helpful for dealing with these bacteria and viruses. Human cells do not have cell wall.

Some of the bacteria and virus too have cell walls. The antimicrobial and antibacterial which we take, takes action on the cell walls and try to destroy it.

Homologous chromosomes:
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer:

a. carry genetic information that influences the same traits.

Explanation:

Homologous chromosomes are the pairs of chromosomes. One chromosome of a pair is derived from the egg cell while the other comes from sperms. Two chromosomes of a pair carry the gene for the same traits. For example, two copies of chromosome 21 would carry the genes for the same traits in humans. However, these two chromosomes of a homologous pair may have the same or different alleles for a particular gene.

If chromosome 21 carries the gene for eye color in humans, the paternal chromosome may have the allele for blue eyes while the maternal chromosome may carry the allele for the black eyes. However, both of them have the "gene for the same traits (eye color)".

Why is the calvin-benson cycle also known as the carbon-fixation cycle?
myrzilka [38]
This is because the primary function of this stage is the fixation of carbon. which involves making simple sugars from carbon dioxide and water. It involves addition of inorganic carbon (carbon dioxide) to an organic molecule or molecules by plants, this occurs during the light independent stage reaction of photosynthesis and is the first step in the Calvin cycle.
