Gallium has two naturally occurring isotopes. The mass of gallium-69 is 68.9256 amu and it is 60.108% abundant. The mass of gall

ium-71 is 70.9247 amu and it is 39.892% abundant. Find the atomic mass of gallium.

Hi :)
So to find the average atomic mass of gallium you need to multiply the mass and percentage of abundance in the first isotope and then add that with the mass times percentage of abundance in the second isotope. I'll show you..
First convert 60.108% into a decimal, moving the decimal point over two places to the left. 60.108% -> 0.60108. Now you can multiply it by
0.60108 * 68.9256 = 41.4298.
So now I need to do the same thing as I did for the first isotope.
39.892% -> 0.39892.
0.39892 * 70.9247 = 28.29328

The last step is to add the two, 28.29328 + 41.4298 = 69.72308.
So the average atomic mass of gallium is 69.723.

What is the total number of oxygen atoms represented in the formula na2c03.10h2o?
Wewaii [24]

As per the given chemical formula- Na2CO3.10H2O, one mole of the chemical compound contains 13 moles of oxygen atoms. Hence

Number of moles of oxygen atoms in one mole of Na2CO3.10H2O = 13

number of moles of oxygen atoms in 0.2 moles of Na2CO3.10H2O = 13 X 0.2 = 2.6

Now, one mole of a substance contains 6.022 X 10^23 particles of the substance. Thus

number of atoms of oxygen in one mole of oxygen atom = 6.022 X 10^23

number of moles of oxygen atoms in 2.6 moles of oxygen atoms = 2.6 X 6.022 X 10^23 = 15.657 X 10^23

= 1.566 X 10^24

Thus, there are 1.566 X 10^24 atoms of oxygen in 0.2 moles of Na2CO3.10H2O.

Where are electrons received and donated at in a galvanic cell?
Vikki [24]

Explanation:

In a galvanic cell, the cathode is positively charged and the anode is negatively charged.

The cathode attracts electron while the anode donates or releases electrons.

Electrons received - Cathode

Electrons donated - Anode

Convert 59,800 cg/L to g/mL
alexgriva [62]
To convert the given value to the desired one, use the proper unit conversions and dimensional analysis. Use the following conversion for the first set.

    1 g = 100 cg
    1 L = 1000 mL

Using the concept presented above,

            V = (59800 cg/L)(1 g/100 cg)1 L/1000 mL)
            V = 0.598 g/mL
