The radius is the distance from (0, 0). It is found using the Pythagorean theorem.

r = √((-1)²+1²) = √2

The angle θ is found from the fact that r·sin(θ) = y = 1, and r·cos(θ) = x = -1. We take the ratio of these to get

... tan(θ) = 1/-1

... θ = arctan(-1) = 3π/4 . . . . . considering quadrant

Then the polar coordinates (r, θ) are (√2, 3π/4). You can multiply these by 1 = (-1, π) to get a negative value for r:

... (-1, 1) ⇒ (-√2, 7π/4)

_____

Multiplying numbers in polar coordinates multiplies their magnitudes and adds their angles.

50 is the only outlier so take 50 out of the set then add the other 9 data points and divide by 9.
76 + 79 + 80 + 82 + 78 + 83 + 79 + 81 + 82 = 720 / 9 = 80

slope = rise over run = y/x

A (-1,3) slope = 3/-1 = -3

B (1,2) slope = 2/1 = 2

C (-3,-1) slope = -1/-3 = 1/3

2 lines need to be negative reciprocals in order to be a right triangle

negative reciprocal of -3 is 1/3

so this is a right triangle

13. Jessica has taken 8 quizzes. The mean of her scores is 92. Her first 6 scores are shown.
Dovator [93]

Answer: Median= 91; 8th quiz score=86

Step-by-step explanation: The sum of the scores is 8×92=736. Subtract the 6 given scores and then a 100 for the seventh quiz to find the score she got on the 8th quiz, this is an 86. Now that you have all the scores, arrange them all in the least to greatest order and find the average of the middle two numbers (median), which is 91!
