Answer: Bottom left corner

Angle DEC and Angle DEH

=============================================================

Explanation:

I recommend opening your favorite paint program, and using different colors to mark on the drawing as I have done below (see attached image). Note how angle DEC is in red and angle DEH is in blue. The two angles are adjacent, meaning they share the same ray (in this case, ray ED) and they form a straight angle.

Because they form a straight angle, or straight line, this means the two angles are supplementary. Supplementary angles always add to 180.

If one factor of x2 + 2x - 24 is (x+6), what is the other factor?
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

( x - 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

x² + 2x - 24

From here, you must find the two factors of -24 (the first and third terms' coefficients multiplied together) that add up to 2 (the middle terms coefficient)

( x - 4) ( x + 6)

Theres only one way, but if you're putting it as a decimal then you just divide 7 from 3 to get your answer

•So, 7 ÷ 3 = 2.3
•And 2(3) + 1 = 7 / 3 (if that makes sense)

Solve the equation for x and enter your answer in the box below <br> x + 14 =27
Helen [10]

Answer: x = 13

Step-by-step explanation: When solving an equation like this, we are trying to get our variable which is our letter by itself.

So we first want to ask ourselves what is the 14 doing to <em>x</em>. Well, we can see that it's being added to <em>x</em> so to get <em>x</em> by itself, we will do the opposite of addition which is subtraction. So we subtract 14 from both sides of the equation.

The +14 -14 cancels out so we're left with <em>x</em> on the left.

On the right, we must subtract 14 from 27 to get 13.

So we have x = 13 which is the solution to this equation.
