Answers:

x = 5

m∠C = m∠H = 38 degrees

WORKINGS

Given that ABCD ≅ FGHJ

We know that corresponding angles of two congruent quadrilaterals are equal

Therefore,

m∠A = m∠F

m∠B = m∠G

m∠C = m∠H

m∠D = m∠I

Given,

m∠C = 9x – 7

m∠H = 5x + 13

Since m∠C = m∠H

9x – 7 = 5x + 13

Add 7 to both sides of the equation

9x – 7 + 7 = 5x + 13 + 7

9x = 5x + 20

Subtract 5x from both sides of the equation

9x – 5x = 5x – 5x + 20

4x = 20

Divide both sides of the equation by 4

4x/4 = 20/4

x = 5

To determine the measures of angle C and angle H

m∠C = m∠H

We know that m∠C = 9x – 7

Since x = 5

m∠C = 9(5) – 7

m∠C = 45 – 7

m∠C = 38

Therefore, m∠C = m∠H = 38 degrees

Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

(-20, 19)

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to use the Midpoint Formula, which says that given two points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2), the midpoint is (\frac{x_1+x_2}{2} ,\frac{y_1+y_2}{2} ).

Here, we are given one of the endpoints and the midpoint:

endpoint S = (5, -8)

midpoint M = (-7.5, 5.5)

Plug these into the formula. In \frac{x_1+x_2}{2}, x1 = 5, and this whole expression is equal to -7.5:

\frac{x_1+x_2}{2}=\frac{5+x_2}{2} =-7.5

Solve for x2:

5 + x2 = 2 * (-7.5) = -15

x2 = -15 - 5 = -20

Now, let's find y2. y1 is just -8, and the entire expression for the y-coordinate of the midpoint is equal to 5.5. So:

\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}=\frac{-8+y_2}{2} =5.5

Solve for y2:

-8 + y2 = 2 * 5.5

-8 + y2 = 11

y2 = 11 + 8 = 19

The coordinates of T are thus (-20, 19).

Find the volume of a cone with a base radius of 6 cm and a height of 10 cm write in terms of pie
Savatey [412]

Answer:

  • <u>Volume of the cone is 120 π cm³ </u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Base radius of cone is 6 cm and height is 10 cm and we need to find volume of the cone. Volume of cone is given by:

\\ \:  \:    \dashrightarrow \:  \:  \: \underline{\boxed{\pmb{\sf{Volume_{(cone)} = \dfrac{1}{3} \pi r^2 h }}}}  \\ \\

On Substituting the required values, we get:

\\ \:  \: \dashrightarrow \:  \:  \sf \: Volume_{(cone)} =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \pi \times  {(6)}^{2}  \times 10 \\  \\  \\  \:  \: \dashrightarrow \:  \:  \sf \: Volume_{(cone)} = \frac{1} {\cancel{3}}  \times  \pi \times  \cancel{36} \times 10 \\ \\   \\  \:  \: \dashrightarrow \:  \:  \sf \: Volume_{(cone)} = \pi \times 12 \times 10 \\  \\  \\  \:  \: \dashrightarrow \:  \:  \sf \: \: { \purple{Volume_{(cone)} =120 \pi \: cm^3 }}\\  \\

5х + y = 16<br> х+ 6у = 38
Ainat [17]

Answer:

(2,6)

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve by substitution. Solve the second equation for x:

x+6y=38\\\\x+6y-6y=38-6y\\\\x=38-6y

Insert the value of x into the first equation:

5(38-6y)+y=16

Solve for y. Simplify multiplication using the distributive property:

5(38)+5(-6y)+y=16\\\\190-30y+y=16\\\\190-29y=16

Subtract 190 from both sides:

190-190-29y=16-190\\\\-29y=-174

Isolate the variable to find its value. Divide both sides by -29:

\frac{-29y}{-29}=\frac{-174}{-29}  \\\\y=6

Now take the value of y and insert back into either equation to solve for x:

5x+6=16

Subtract 6 from both sides:

5x+6-6=16-6\\\\5x=10

Divide both sides by 5:

\frac{5x}{5}=\frac{10}{5}\\\\  x=2

Therefore, the solution to the system is (2,6).

The sum of eight and a number is one hundred. What is the number?
KonstantinChe [14]
Salutations!

Let the number be x

Your equation would be x+8=100

Now that we have our equation, lets solve this!

Solve this by keeping the variables aside, and the numbers aside

x=100 -8

The sign would change because your are isolating the number

x=100-8

x= 92

Hope I helped (:

Have a great day!
