The French and Indian War, also known as the Seven Years' War, was fought between the British and the French. The Indians sided with the French to protect their land from the British who were trying to settle there.

This division has created a dedicated clergy: that is, some people who did not have to produce food, work, etc: they could dedicate their life to spreading of the religion: this in turn has helped religion to reach more people than it would otherwise.
