The total area of pool and border = 361  square feet.

Length of square pool = x

Length of square pool plus border =  (x + 1 +1 ) = x + 2

There is 1 foot length on each side on the x  length.

The other length of the square pool and border =  (x + 2)

Area = (x+2)(x+2)

     (x + 2)(x +2) =  361.            Let A = x +2

        A*A = 361
            A²  = 361    Take square root of both sides
             A  = √361
               A = 19

A = x + 2 = 19
       x = 19 - 2
       x = 17

Area of square pool = x*x = 17*17 = 289

Area of the pool = 289 square feet.

PLEASEEEEEEEE HELP
Rama09 [41]

Answer:

Using the point-slope form:

The equation of the line is given by:

y-y_1 =m(x-x_1) .....[1]  where

m is the slope of the line and (x_1, y_1) is the point on the line.

As per the statement:

Given: Two points i,e (34, 76) and (42, 91)

First calculate slope(m):

Slope is given by:

\text{Slope} = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Substitute the given values we have;

\text{Slope (m)} = \frac{91-76}{42-34}=\frac{15}{8}=1.875

Now, substitute the value of m and (34, 76) in [1] we have;

y-76 =1.875(x-34)

Using distributive property: a \cdot (b+c) = a\cdot b+ a\cdot c

y-76 =1.875x-63.75

Add 76 to both sides we get;

y=1.875x+76

Therefore, the equation of the trend line is: y=1.875x+76

(2x+11) = ( 5x-19)
subtract 2x from each side. So 2x - 2x =0 and 5x - 2x = 3x.
Now your equation is 11 = 3x- 19.
Next, add 19 to each side. - 19 + 19 = 0 and 11 + 19 = 30.
Your equation is now 30 = 3x.
Now divide by 3x on each side. 3x / 3x= x and 30 / 3 = 10.
<em>So your answer would be x = 10</em>.
