Using the information provided in the table, when all the supplies listed are added together, it comes to a total of $358.36, which is over the budget listed of $340. In order to fit the budget, they would need to either increase it to cover the cost or find cheaper supplies to stay below or at the $340 price point.

How do u do 2x-y=17
X-y=10
aliina [53]
Another way to do it is
2x-y=17
x-y=10, x=10+y
substitute x=10+y for x in 2x-y=17 and get
2(10+y)-y=17
20+2y-y=17
20+y=17
subtract 20 from both sides
y=-3
subsitute y=-3 into equation x-y=10
x-(-3)=10
x+3=10
subtract 3 from both sides
x=7
or subsitute into 2x-y=17
2x-(-3)=17
2x+3=17
subtract 3 from both sides
2x=14
divide both sides by two
x=7

The value of -3x y, for x = 2 and y = 3, is -18.

True
False<---- this one
Otrada [13]
I am assuming you are multiplying the y as well. if so, it is -3*2*3 and that would be -18 so it would be true.
