The answer is alpha hemolysis. The other types of hemolysis are beta and gamma hemolysis. While beta hemolysis leaves a clear zone in the area around the bacterial growth, gamma hemolysis indicates that there is a lack of hemolysis and thus the agar is unchanged in the vicinity of a bacterial colony.

A greenish area around a bacterial colony growth on blood agar indicates an alpha-hemolysis.
Blood agar is an enriched, bacterial growth medium, that encourages the growth of bacteria, such as streptococci, that otherwise wouldn't grow on an ordinary growth media. Hemolysis is the breakdown of red blood cells. The medium is used to detect bacteria that produce enzymes to break apart the blood cells. When alpha hemolysis is present, the agar under the colony is dark and greenish.

Fourteen Grey wolves were introduced into Yellowstone in 1995. By the end of 1997, there were 100 wolves in Yellowstone, and by
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

d) 625 grey wolves

Explanation:

Number of grey wolves in yellowstone;

1997 = 100 wolves

2002 = 275 wolves

Between 1997 and 2002 (a five year period), number of wolves increased by; 275 - 100 = 175 wolves

Population growth rate between 1997 and 2002 = 175 wolves per 5 years

Note that the population growth continued at the same rate from 2002 to 2012 (a ten year period).

Therefore;

if; 5 years = 175 wolves

10 years = (175 × 10) / 5 =350 wolves.

therefore, number of wolves between 2002 and 2012 = 350 wolves.

Number of wolves as at 2002 = 275 wolves

total number of wolves at 2012 = 350 + 275 = 625 wolves

AA - flowers with red flowers
Aa - flowers with pink flowers
aa - flowers with white flowers

The cross looks like:
Parents:          Aa     x     Aa
Offspring:    AA    Aa   Aa    aa

Red flowers (AA): 1/4 = 0.25 = 25%
Pink flowers (Aa): 2/4 = 0.50 = 50%
White flowers (a): 1/4 = 0.25 = 25%
