x/6+4= 15

Subtract 4 from both sides; 4s cancel each other out

x/6+4-4= 15-4

x/6= 11

multiply both sides by 6 to eliminate fraction (multiply by reciprocal of 1/6)

(x/6)(6)= (11)(6)

x= 66

ANSWER: x= 66

Hope this helps! :)

Answer:

{\displaystagex=66}

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>First, subtract by 4 from both sides of equation.</em>

<em>{\displaystyle{\frac{x}{6}+4-4=15-4</em>

<em>Then, simplify.</em>

<em>\displaystyle{\frac{x}{6}=11</em>

<em>Multiply by 6 from both sides of equation.</em>

\displaystyle{\frac{6x}{6}=11*6

<em>Simplify, to find the answer.</em>

<em>{\displaystyle11*6=66</em>

<em>{\displaystylex=66}</em>

<em>Hope this helps!</em>

Which of shakina's statements regarding acceleration and velocity is false? "when the acceleration is negative, the velocity can
Mekhanik [1.2K]
Let's start by imagining a rock being thrown to the air.
Let's say that going up is the positive direction and so, going down is the negative.
The acceleration is pointing down (because of gravity) so it's always negative. While the rock is going up, it's velocity/speed is positive, but the acceleration is negative.
While the rock is going down, both acceleration and speed are negative.
This shows that the first statemente is true, but the second is false.
You can also think that if you define going DOWN as the POSITIVE direction, you can have both positive acceleration and speed, or positive acceleration and negative speed.

Which expression is equivalent to -18a^-2b^5/-12a^-4b^-6
crimeas [40]

Answer:

  c.  3a^2b^11/2

Step-by-step explanation:

The applicable rule of exponents is ...

  (a^b)/(a^c) = a^(b-c)

__

 \dfrac{-18a^{-2}b^5}{-12a^{-4}b^{-6}}=\dfrac{-18}{-12}a^{-2-(-4)}b^{5-(-6)}=\boxed{\dfrac{3a^2b^{11}}{2}}

The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other so
4x - 7 = x + 2 and
5y - 8 = 3y

4x - 7 = x + 2 so 3x = 9 and x = 3

5y - 8 = 3y so 2y = 8 and y = 4
