Solution:

f(x)=\left\{\begin{matrix}x & \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ -2

Here we have piecewise function wiht interval x<-2 , -2<u><</u> x <1 and x>1

It is piecewise function because function break at two point x=-2 and x=1

When x<-2 , f(x)=x

We took some value of x less than -2 and then find f(x)

x          -2         -3        -5

f(x)       -2         -3        -5

Now we plot the points on graph and join them to see the graph.

When -2<u><</u> x <1 , f(x)=-2

It is constant function, f(x) will always -2 in this interval.

When x>1, f(x)=x-3

We take some random value of x greater than 1 and then find f(x)

x           1         2         3

f(x)        -2      -1          0

Now we plot the points on graph and join then to see the graph.

Multiply the polynomial x (3x-1)(2x+5) also what is the degree of the polynomial
Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

Result after multiplication of polynomial is: 6x^3+13x^2-5x

Degree of polynomial = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The given polynomials are:

x(3x-1)(2x+5)

In order to multiply the given polynomials we have to work step by step. First of all the polynomials in the bracket will be multiplied and then their result will be multiplied with x.

So, multiplying the polynomials in round brackets first

=x(3x-1)(2x+5)\\= x\{3x(2x+5)-1(2x+5)\}\\=x\{6x^2+15x-2x-5\}\\=x(6x^2+13x-5)

Now multiplying with x

= 6x^3+13x^2-5x

Degree of a polynomial is the highest exponent of variable in the polynomial.

In the acquired result, the highest exponent of x is 3 so the degree is 3.

Hence,

Result after multiplication of polynomial is: 6x^3+13x^2-5x

Degree of polynomial = 3
