As the energy pyramid goes up, around 10% of the available energy is left in the next level. So, say that there is 10,000 energy in the bottom level(Oak, beach, etc.). In the level of squirrels, deer, and turkeys, there will be 1,000 energy. In the top level, with the bobcats, there will be only 100 energy left.
