B. Dwight Eisenhower became President in 1952.

Further Explanation-

Senator Joseph McCarthy is credited with an event called ‘Red Scare’ during which he accused top military officials in the army and several politicians in the United States government to be too soft towards the approach of eradication of Communism. He became the most feared anti-Communist in the United States, and he constantly criticized the actions of the then Democrat President Harry S. Truman. McCarthyism was gaining ground with the common public, and a certain distrust was observed among the Americans towards communists. His ideas were a reflection of the Republican party, however, his hardliner policies and constant criticism of President Eisenhower lost him favour with the Republican Party.

Joseph McCarthy, a Senator of Wisconsin, became famous for his political speeches that stirred public opinion against Communism. He alleged that Communism was one of the forces that threatened the sovereignty of the United States. He accused many top politicians within the United States administration and within the military of being pro-Communist. This began a witch hunt for communists within government agencies, and anyone whose ideas or beliefs did not resonate with McCarthy’s beliefs was labelled as a Communist. He questioned several officials of their alleged communist affiliations, and as a result of this, they lost their jobs and was the victim of public condemnation. McCarthy was discredited by the skilful criticism of the American journalist Edward Murrow, and he was discredited and censured by the Senate for his downfall.

What was at the core of the Anti-Vietnam Movement?
tankabanditka [31]
To exactly which Anti-Vietnam Movement do you refer. You want a short answer. Simply listing the various groups would be too long, and each had its own ideologies. Guess it's time to hit the books.

Feisty is right. I checked too. Since you only want short answers and no detail, it is abundantly clear that you don't want any reliable or relevant information. Good attitude. Lots of luck in life, but please to the rest of us a favor: when you're old enough, please, please, please DON'T vote.
