You have an upcoming exam and you are confident that you have read all your books and believe you know your stuff down cold. Somehow, after sitting for your exam, you fail. To avoid this from happening again, you can use methods like SQRW or KWL to make sure that you get a better grade. Each of these techniques are initials that stand for “Survey”, “Question”, “Read”, and “Write” (SQRW) and “Know,” “Want to Know,” and “Learned” (KWL) respectively. People who make the most out of these two strategies will understand what they read and prepare notes of what they learned. These notes will come in handy when sitting for an exam. KWL, specifically, help student become better versions of themselves and improve in reading expository text.

liubo4ka [24]

The question above wants to assess your interpretation of conic shapes and sections in art and architecture. For that reason, I can't write an answer for you, but I'll show you how to write it.

The conical sections can be seen in structures that assume one of the shapes considered conical. These formats are easy to identify, especially in architecture, where they are very popular. These shapes can be classified as Parabola, Circle, Ellipse, and Hyperbole

In this case, to write your answer, you should search for architectural works or works of art that present one of these types of conic sections and show how the use of this format is important for these works.

Some examples of works that use conic sections are:

  • Parabola: Eiffel Tower.
  • Circle: Farmer's Cottage Deluxe Summer House
  • Ellipse: Tycho Brahe Planetarium.
  • Hyperbole: McDonnell Planetarium

A large population of ALOHA users manages to generate 50 requests/sec, including both originals and retransmissions. Time is slo
krok68 [10]

Answer:

The answer is below

Explanation:

Given that:

Frame transmission time (X) = 40 ms

Requests = 50 requests/sec, Therefore the arrival rate for frame (G) = 50 request * 40 ms = 2 request

a) Probability that there is success on the first attempt = e^{-G}G^k but k = 0, therefore Probability that there is success on the first attempt = e^{-G}=e^{-2}=0.135

b) probability of exactly k collisions and then a success = P(collisions in k attempts) × P(success in k+1 attempt)

P(collisions in k attempts) = [1-Probability that there is success on the first attempt]^k = [1-e^{-G}]^k=[1-0.135]^k=0.865^k

P(success in k+1 attempt) = e^{-G}=e^{-2}=0.135

Probability of exactly k collisions and then a success = 0.865^k0.135

c) Expected number of transmission attempts needed = probability of success in k transmission = e^{G}=e^{2}=7.389

Explain the differences between copyright, fair use, and trademark?
ValentinkaMS [17]

A trademark is an easily recognizable symbol, phrase, or word that denotes a specific product. It legally differentiates a product or service from all others of its kind and recognizes the source company's ownership of the brand.

"Copyright" literally means the right to copy but has come to mean that body of exclusive rights granted by law to copyright owners for protection of their work. Copyright protection does not extend to any idea, procedure, process, system, title, principle, or discovery.

Fair use is a doctrine in United States law that permits limited use of copyrighted material without having to first acquire permission from the copyright holder.

//import package for taking input from user.

public class Main   //define class

{

public static void main (String ag[] )   //define main function

{

 int number;

 Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in);

 for (int i = 0; i < 5; i ++)                       //loo for input.

 {

  System.out.print ("Enter a number between 1 - 30:  ");

  number = input.nextInt();          //input number by the user.

 }

 asterisk();           //calling function.

 }

public static void asterisk()          //defination of function.

{

    //body of function.

    int n;                   //local variable.

 for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)                  //using loop for print asterisk

 {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );                  //print value.

 }

  for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)         //using loop for print asterisk

  {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );     //print value.

 }

  for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)          //using loop for print asterisk

  {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );          //print value.

  for (n= 0; n <= 30; n++)             //using loop for print asterisk

  {

 if (n !=0)

 //printf used for print value.

 System.out.printf("*", n );             //print value.

 }

}

}

Output:

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 2

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 2

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 1

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 3

Enter a number between 1 - 30: 4

*******************************************************************************

Explanation:

In this program we take 5 time input from the user and print the value in the form of (*) that can be explain in above output section.In that program we use printf method that is also used for print the value.
