Assuming you are trying to find what kind of figure this represents, also that this = 0,

x^2 -4x       + y^2 +12y      =20
Completing the square for both x and y,
x^2 -4x +4 + y^2 +12y +36=20 + 4 + 36 = 60
(x-2)^2 + (y+6)^2 = 60
is a circle with center at (-2,6) with a radius of the square root of 60 or 2SQRT(15)

The angles represented by the expressions (2x+46) and (3x-6) are complementary angles. find the measure of the larger angle. Im
ivolga24 [154]

Answer:

66

Step-by-step explanation:

complimentary angles add up to 90 so:

3x-6 + 2x +46 = 90

5x +40 = 90

5x = 50

x = 10

2(10)+46 = 66

3(10) - 6 = 24

I don’t 100% remember how to turn this into a standard problem.. could someone help me really quick?
marin [14]
Standard form is ax^2+bx+c=0

First evaluate the exponent and expand (foil).
y= 3(x^2-4x+4)+1

Then distribute the 3
y= 3x^2-12x+12+1

Combine like terms
y=3x^2-12x+13

Final answer: 3x^2-12x+13=0
