Answer:

75 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following :

Scale on first map = 1cm to 20 km

Distance fromFresno to San Francisco = 15km on first map

Scale on 2nd map = 1cm to 100 km

1cm / 20km = 15km

Let of Distance from Fresno to San Francisco on 2nd map = d

1cm / 100km = d

1 : 20 = 15

1 : 100 = d

20/ 100 = 15/d

1/5 = 15/d

d = 15 * 5

d = 75 km

In the system of equations, which variable would it be easiest to solve for?
Digiron [165]

Answer:

The easiest way of solving this is to eliminate one of the variables.  If you multiply each of the equations by a number so you can add the equations together and have only one variable left, you can solve the single variable equation.  Try multiplying the first equation by 11, the second by -10 and adding them, thus eliminating the y  variable.  After this, substitute that value you have for x and solve for y.  I hope this helps.

The Nair family has collected 2,400 pennies. The pennies will be divided evenly among the 4 children. How many dollars will each
goldenfox [79]
You must divide 2400 by 4 to find your answer. If you know 24/4, then it should be easy. 24 divided by 4 is 6, so add those 2 zeros and you should get 600 pennies for each student.

What is AE ?
natulia [17]
The answer is 10 units. This is because you have to find X where 2x+10 just the same with the other side of the triangle.the triangle is also known as isosceles triangle in which two sides are equal to each other. You just have to equate it to the x+3. So 4x+30=2x+10 so x=10 units.
