What is the probability of rolling an even number followed by another even number on a number cube labeled 1-6?

Mathematics

The sample space is
S = {1,2,3,4,5,6}
which is the set of all possible outcomes

The event space is the list of things we want to happen, namely getting an even number
E = {2,4,6}

We have 3 items in the event space out of 6 items total
Therefore, the probability that we land on an even number is 3/6 = 1/2

Each roll is independent from any other roll. The dice is said to have "no memory" meaning that past events do not affect future rolls. So we can use the rule
P(A and B) = P(A)*P(B)
P(A and B) = (1/2)*(1/2)
P(A and B) = 1/4
where A and B represent rolling an even number for the first and second tries

--------------------------------------------------------------------

In summary, the answer is 1/4; independent which is choice C

25-3x-2-4x+5 has how many coefficients and how many expressions
adoni [48]

Answer:

This expression has 2 coefficients, (-3 and -4), because any number with a variable is a coefficient. That means 25, -2, and 5 are all constants, because they don't have variables.

Variables are the x's in this case.

I hope this answers your question :) Also if you like, can you mark me brainliest, please? It would really mean a lot to me :)

What is 3/4 plus 4 1/3
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to change the denominator into a the least common denominator, 4 and 3 both have 12 in common. 12 is your new denominator but what you to the bottom you must do to the top. So when you multiply 3/4 by 3/3 you will get 9/12.

Then you want to make 4 1/3 into a improper fraction, which would be 13/3 you want to multiply this by 4 and you will get 52/12. You will then add 52/12 to 9/12 and get 61/12 or 5 1/12.

If you need any more help please let me know.
