ANSWER

\frac{3}{x} + \frac{4}{ {x}^{2} } = \frac{3x + 4}{ {x}^{2} }

EXPLANATION

We want to add the algebraic fractions,

\frac{3}{x} + \frac{4}{ {x}^{2} }

To solve this we need to collect LCM.

The LCM of

x \: and \: {x}^{2} = {x}^{2}

We can now rewrite the expression as a sum of two equivalent algebraic fractions with the least common multiple as the denominator.

Thus,

\frac{3}{x} + \frac{4}{ {x}^{2} } = \frac{3x}{ {x}^{2} } + \frac{4}{ {x}^{2} }

Since the denominators are the same, we write one of them and add the numerators.

This means that,

\frac{3}{x} + \frac{4}{ {x}^{2} } = \frac{3x + 4}{ {x}^{2} }

Answer:

d≤48/2.15

Step-by-step explanation:

Step one:

Given data

Claudia spends $2.15 a day for lunch.

We are told that her balance is  $48.00

let the number of days be d

Step two:

The maximum number of days she can eat is given as

d≤48/2.15

d≤22.33 days

The height, h, of the equilateral triangle is given by h =5cotΘ, where Θ is 30 degrees. Can someone help me with this? I don't u
Hoochie [10]

You don't even need the picture to solve this one.

You said that      h = 5 cot(Θ) ,    and you said that  Θ  is 30 degrees.
All you need now is to find the cotangent of  Θ, plop that into the equation,
and the solution practically jumps off the paper into your lap.

To find the cotangent of 30 degrees, you can use a calculator, look it up
in a book, read it off of a slide rule if you have one, draw a picture of a
30-60-90 right triangle etc.  You'll find that the cotangent of 30 degrees
is  √3 .  That's about 1.732 .

So your equation is    h = 5 (1.732)  =  <em>8.66  </em>(rounded)

Apparently, somebody gave you the equation, and asked you to find 'h'.
Once you had the equation, you didn't even need to know that  'h'  has
anything to do with a triangle.

How are unit rates and equevlent ratios related
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer: Unit rates are the factor that takes you from one column to the other column in a table of equivalent ratios. Equivalent ratios have the same unit rates.

Hope this helps!
