Let x = weight of adult meerkat, y=weight of baby meerkat, Find y.
x=0.776 kg
y+7.47hectogram=x=0.776
Since 1 hectogram = 0.1 kg,
Therefore the weight of baby meerkat is, y= 0.029 kg

Answer:

0.029 kg dose a baby meerkat weigh

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the baby meerkat weight and y be the adult meerkat weight.

As per the statement:

An adult meerkat weighed 0.776 kilograms

⇒y = 0.77 kg

It is also given that 7.47 hectograms more than the weight of a baby meerkat.

Using conversion:

1 hectogram = 0.1 kg

7.47 hectogram = 0.747 kg

then;

x + 0.747 = 0.776

Subtract 0.747 from both sides we have;

x = 0.029 kg

Therefore, 0.029 kg dose a baby meerkat weigh

Approximate the sum of the convergent infinite series the least usingnumber of terms so that the error is less than .0001. What
____ [38]

Solution :

$\sum_{n=1 }^{\infty } \frac{(-1)^n}{n ! 2^n}$           $a_n= \frac{(-1)^n}{n ! 2^n} \ \ \ \ \ a_{n+1}= \frac{(-1)^{n+1}}{(n+1) ! 2^{n+1}}$

Error = $|a_{n+1}|$

Error ≤ 0.0001

$|\frac{(-1)^{n+1}}{(n+1)!2^{n+1}}| \leq 0.0001$

$|\frac{1}{(n+1)!2^{n+1}}| \leq 10^{-4}$

$(n+1)! 2^{n+1} \geq 10000$

Now try, n ≥ 5

$\sum_{n=1 }^{\infty } \frac{(-1)^n}{n ! 2^n}$   = $\sum_{n=1 }^{5 } \frac{(-1)^n}{n ! 2^n}$         (with error 0.0001)

$\sum_{n=1 }^{\infty } \frac{(-1)^n}{n ! 2^n}$   = $\frac{-1}{1!2}+\frac{1}{2!2^2}-\frac{1}{3! 2^3}+\frac{1}{4! 2^4}-\frac{1}{5! 2^5}$

$\sum_{n=1 }^{\infty } \frac{(-1)^n}{n ! 2^n}$ = 0.6065104

Step-by-step explanation:

he has $100 total.

he breeds $65 of that just for the game system.

that leaves 100-65 = $35 for games.

since each game costs $5, he can buy maximum 35/5 = 7 games.
