The Coriolis effect is related to rotation, which is why it can be found on Earth, given that Earth rotates on its axis, as well as around the Sun. This effect is responsible for storms swirling <span>clockwise in the Southern hemisphere and counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere.</span>
