Answer:

A

Explanation:

Laws were written to abolish slavery. I can also see how B would make sense, as it spread through the Southern colonies quickly but was not adapted in the North. Slavery was not strictly in the Southern colonies, as there were some slaves in Northern colonies, but when we think of the Civil War, we think of Southern as for slavery and North against it. When slaves were freed, they could go wherever they please but most traveled North to try to gain true freedom.

How did the peace of westphalia lay the foundations
ExtremeBDS [4]

This peace treaty officially ended the Thirty Years' War in Germany in 1648 and it allowed each prince, whether they were Lutheran, Catholic, or Calvinist, to choose the established creed of his territory. This treaty laid the foundations for the concept of national sovereignty (sovereign independent authority) for over 300 German states and paved the way for the rise of nation-states. It also recognized Calvinism as a legally permissible faith, continued the political fragmentation of Germany, granted Sweden additional territory, confirming its status as a major power, and acknowledged the independence of the United Provinces of the Netherlands.
