AnnZ [28]

Dacryoadenitis is an inflammation of the lacrimal gland that can be a bacterial, viral, or fungal infection.

Lacrimal gland is the gland responsible for lubricating eye to moisten and lubricate it. This gland is present between eyes and eye brows. The secretion of lacrimal gland is commonly known as tears.

The inflammation in lacrimal gland can be acute or chronic. The infection by bacteria or virus is the cause of acute inflammation. Chronic inflammation results for disorders like thyroid or pseudotumour. Common example of virus infecting lacrimal gland is Epstein-Barr virus and bacteria is Staphylococcus.

The symptoms of dacryoadenitis include redness in eyes, pain in movements, double vision, droopy upper eyelid etc. Treatment includes intake of antibiotics and abscess drainage.

The body of a sponge is not very complex, mainly because it has no cells. It has 2 outer layers and supportive needles, but no cells!

Compare and contrast photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Many cellular processes rely on an electron donor and/or acceptor.
astraxan [27]

Answer:

Photosynthesis and respiration are reactions that complement each other in the environment. They are in reality the same reactions but occurring in reverse. While in photosynthesis carbon dioxide and water yield glucose and oxygen, through the respiration process glucose and oxygen yield carbon dioxide and water.

Explanation:

Photosynthesis makes the glucose that is broken down by cellular respiration. Cellular respiration converts the glucose that is made by photosynthesis to oxygen. Photosynthesis converts the glucose that is made by cellular respiration to carbon dioxide
