The cost of jeans is represented by 60 since they only bought one pair and the 20x represents the cost of the shirts because we don't know how many shirts she bought and x represents how many shirts she bought.

I would say the 60 + 20 represents how the shirts cost the same amount. Then I would say the x either represents the cost before tax or how to find the cost of the shirts.

I hope this helps!
Good Luck!

Which graph best represents the relationship between time and the number of teams registered?
alexdok [17]
<h2>Explanation:</h2><h2></h2>

The complete question is in the attached file. So we have to choose between two graphs. On of them is a linear model while the other is an exponential model. From the statements, we have a relationship between time and the number of teams registered. So we can establishes variables in the following form:

x:\text{Time} \\ \\ y:\text{Number of teams registered}

We also know that each week 6 teams register to participate, so:

\bullet \ \text{For week 0:} \rightarrow \text{0 teams registered} \\ \\ \bullet \ \text{For week 1:} \rightarrow \text{6 teams registered} \\ \\ \bullet \ \text{For week 2:} \rightarrow \text{12 teams registered (Because 6+12)} \\ \\ \bullet \ \text{For week 3:} \rightarrow \text{18 teams registered (Because 12+6)}

As you can see, as x increases one week, y increases at a constant ratio of 6. Therefore, this can be modeled by a linear function given by the form:

y=6x

In conclusion, <em>the linear model (first graph below) is the one that bests represents  the relationship between time and the number of teams registered.</em>

Find the area of the isosceles triangle. please help thanks
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

1080 m^2 Don't submit m^2 in your answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Givens

The catch is to find h

To do that, use a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a b and c are in the same 1/2 triangle.

a = 48/2 = 24 m

b = h = ?

c = 51 meters

Solution

a^2 + b^2 = 51^2                      Substitute for b^2 = h^2

24^2 + h^2 = 51^2                   Expand 24^2 and 51^2

576 + h^2 = 2601                    Subtract 576 from both sides

h^2 = 2601 - 576

h^2 = 2025                              Take the square root of both sides

h = 45

Area

Area = 1/2 b * h

Area = 1/2 48 * 45

Area = 1080

Remark

Notice that to find h you only use 1/2 of 48 because that is the base of the right triangle.

To find the area, you need to use all of 48 because 48 is the full length of the base.
