Answer:

The process by which the cells transform food to energy is known as cellular respiration. In the process of cellular respiration, food gets dissociated along with the use of oxygen. The outcomes of the reaction are water, carbon dioxide, and energy in the form of ATP.

The cellular respiration process is the net producer of carbon dioxide that forms cellular respiration a vital part of the carbon cycle. A subsequent process, that is, photosynthesis is the sink for carbon dioxide and is also a fundamental component of the carbon cycle.

Cellular respiration and photosynthesis are important parts of the carbon cycle. The carbon cycle is the pathways through which carbon is recycled in the biosphere. While cellular respiration releases carbon dioxide into the environment, photosynthesis pulls carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. The exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen during photosynthesis (Figure below) and cellular respiration worldwide helps to keep atmospheric oxygen and carbon dioxide at stable levels.

Carbohydrate layer on the plasma membrane includes all of the following except:
irinina [24]

Answer:

c) Gives a cell its distinctive characteristics

Explanation:

Carbohydrates perform two main functions in the cell's membrane: they participate in cell recognition and adhesion (cell-cell signaling or cell-pathogen interactions), they also have a structural role as a physical barrier.

Most of the carbohydrates linked to the membrane are in the form of glycoproteins oy glycolipids, these are the molecules that share information and recognize host cells. Glycocalyx is another way we find carbohydrates in the cell membrane, this layer has cell-adhesion molecules that enable cells to adhere to each other.

I hope you find this information useful! Good luck!
